Just wanted to share some feedback on TMG Early Intervention Services - everything was great, useful, helpful, reassuring, easy to understand and follow! Kudos to Jody, Lanisa, Mark & Adam, what a great team!
Thank you.
I found Genesis and Daría to be very helpful. Beni warmed up to them quickly and enjoyed playing alongside of them. They treated him with kindness and were truly invested in his progress. I felt all the services provided (Speech, developmental, and OT) were very helpful and played a very impactful role in Beni’s progress. All the strategies that were suggested have and continue to be used as Beni’s learns to communicate more clearly and improve his self help skills (dressing and using restroom independently). Beni had a wonderful experience. I very much appreciated being able to use video chat when Beni was sick and we weren’t able to meet in person. Thank you all.
Ms. Jodi was THE BEST with my son! We didn’t get to have as much time as we would have liked since my son turned 3 so soon, but during the time we had she was absolutely amazing with him. We are going to miss her. Toni, his speech therapist was great as well, she did really well communicating with my son too! Thank you for everything !!
Christina and Lucia has helped us so much. Not just occupational therapy for Damien, but giving me, an overwhelmed mom, strategies to help him from adjusting communication to being available when he's throwing a tantrum or biting in school to establishing a routine to make him more efficient. Their help has led to success in the areas we've worked on. You can tell they truly care and we aren't just a number to them. From this positive experience, I'm going to look into continuing services for Damien and would love to be able to work with them again.
Sierra has been amazing since day one. She has is extremely helpful and has guided our family through every step and process. I love that fact that Sierra was able to provide a list of specialists on who to contact for medical services related to Grayson’s needs. I also love the fact that she helps narrow them down to who was closest to us with our medical.
Dena has been amazing!! My first son was referred to TMG back in 2018 for delay in speech. Dena was amazing then, so when I had my third son and had concerns, I reached back out to TMG through Nevada Early Intervention Services and requested Dena again. She is intelligent, playful, a great communicator, and overall just has a wonderful personality. She has helped my kids so much and they are excited when she comes over, even if it’s just for those 45 minutes. My first son is finishing up the Child Find program through CCSD and has grown out of speech therapy there. My third son has progressed so much and so quickly since he started speech therapy with TMG. Thanks to Dena for all the help with my babies. I can see why Dena is chosen as the trainer for new employees to the company – she’s sets such a good example. I think every parent has something to learn from a developmental specialist. She taught us new games and new ways to approach raising our kids. I’m so grateful to Dena and TMG! I can’t recommend them enough.
All of the staff members were tremendously helpful. Janet provided helpful tips and ideas. Taylor took the time to help reinforce the education pieces Kwan and I received on our visits and was always reassuring. Dr. Tolbert has a gift. She really took the time to provide the appropriate guidance to make Kwan’s interventions meaningful and useful.
I had a wonderful experience with TMG thanks to the staff assigned to Kwan. I have seen so many positive changes with Kwan since we started participating and am so grateful. I cannot thank my team enough for all their knowledge, tips, and support.
My daughter has been a patient of TMG (not sure if you say patient or other words, sorry!) for a year now under the care of Jody and Beth. This morning at our exit interview, I had a hard time articulating just how much these two ladies have changed our daughter’s life and ours as a family because of the overwhelming feeling of gratitude and emotion that I have for these two amazing individuals. Our daughter only spoke 1 word when we first started (which was yes) and she is now having full blown conversations with us. It was such a hard year (we started in 2020) and I had so many reservations about doing virtual with a 2 year old, but with perseverance and skill, these two ladies made it fun and engaging for my little 2 year old. Whenever we were scheduled for a session and I’d tell Her “Today we get to talk to Jody” or “Today we are talking to Beth” she would scream out “YAY” and that filled my heart with so much happiness. To know that my 2 year old felt excited at the thought to work on her words speaks for itself. I cannot thank you enough. Words don’t suffice for people that change other people’s lives but they have changed ours, but more importantly, hers, and all I can say is that I am eternally grateful and feel fortunate to have had Jody and Beth.
I hope you continue to foster amazing people like them for your team so that they can serve other beautiful kids in need like my daughter.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Taylor has been with us from the beginning and she went above and beyond to help us. The whole TMG group was very helpful and prompt in answering our questions and guiding us through. Thank you!
My son and I were extremely lucky to have the team he had, especially Dena, Lanisa and Danielle. All of my team members were helpful-and I mean this honestly. Jacob definitely gave these ladies a run for their money because of his stubbornness. They all remained patient and were constant in providing support and alternate ideas of what to try with him. Jacob made some gains. The only reason I say some and not huge is because the last year of his time with them was greatly affected by the pandemic and the inability to physically meet.
There is so much I can say about Jacob’s team, specifically Dena, Lanisa, and Danielle. The first two started working with him when he was only 6 months old and Danielle just a few months after that. These incredibly intelligent and kind-hearted women were very much friends to me whenever we’d meet. They would sing praises of Jacob’s progress and empathize with me when he struggled, so completely genuine and honest, they related to these milestones and moments as though he was their child just as much as he is mine Being a mother to a child who has special needs feels impossible at times and their unwavering support meant the world to me. In two and a half years, they were a part of some big moments in Jacob’s life; from foster care to the amazing (yet lengthy!) adoption, through the unfortunate divorce of myself and his father, stating new therapies, being diagnosed with ASD and beginning ABA therapy. Each step, Dena was right there, adapting to every curveball thrown at her, moving mountains to make sure Jacob got every opportunity offered. All three focused every interaction with Jacob with much effort, I never questioned how much they cared about his success. I would even send videos and photos of practices and suggestions they had provided as well as updates on the milestones he was reaching when we were in between meeting, and they always celebrated with excitement! I could not possibly thank them enough and will defiantly miss working with them.
We worked with Dena the most for more than a year. She has been extremely helpful and understanding. My daughter has loved her and her teaching methods have helped me learn so much that I’ve been able to use for my 2 children. She has gone out of her way multiple times to research and send me answers to my questions and links to products for me to try. While online sessions have been difficult for my kids, Dena has made it fun for them while still teaching me and being able to model various methods that have turned into everyday routines for us. I hope that every team has someone like Dena running the show because My daughter has made huge strides this year in all aspects of development. Danielle has also been with us from the beginning, and she has made sessions so fun for my kids. She always has answers to my questions and has been extremely understanding with us. She has come up with variations of exercises for me to practice with my kids when one seems to not work as well. Her patience with me and my learning methods has helped me tremendously. She has proven to be there as a support to my entire family and has taught me more than I would’ve thought possible. With Danielle’s help my child has improved unbelievably. She would be an asset to any child. We only recently got to work with Jameka for Speech Therapy, so we’ve only worked with her a handful of times. She has given us some great methods that I’ve used and seen great improvements with. I plan to keep all of her methods and exercises in mind while working with my other children. She was very patient with my daughter and was able to help improve her speech and increase her word count.
In all honesty, all of our services have helped in amazing ways. Dena’s services were probably the most helpful since she was able to work on speech, occupational and behavioral with my daughter. She was able to be very consistent with her methods and they have roves to be super helpful.
While TMG staff has helped so much during our 16 months with them, I would have been more encouraged had the sessions switched back to in-person in a timely manner. Having children in Early Intervention that are so young has made it extremely difficult to focus and progress to their full potential over a computer screen. Since aging out of Early Intervention, we have been doing in-person ABA sessions and I have seen a world of difference in my daughter’s attention span, communication, speech and overall progress. Since I sill have another child receiving services through TMG, I will keep hoping that we will return in person soon. Pease take into consideration that our children need personal contact to learn and progress, especially since they already have developmental delays and challenges.
Sierra, Danielle, and Mark were great! I always felt like we knew each other when we had zoom meetings for my kids. It was always nice seeing them and catching them up on any progress my sons made. They were always as excited as me for any progress made. My son started therapy back in February 2020. He had poor eye contact and never acknowledged us when we called him by his first name. Thanks to therapy he not only understands his name but gives us eye contact all the time and is trying to communicate with us a lot more than before. I really appreciate all the help I received, I truly felt like I was being listened to and being helped out on things I was completely new to.
“This service is amazing and not as well-known as it should be. My kids were in the NICU for 9 weeks and I never was told about it. I heard from a friend in Massachusetts, thank god.”
I can not seem to find all the words to outline just how much the team (Jody, Elizabeth, and Danielle) did for my son and myself. It was very hard to accept that Justin was Autistic and I lived in denial about it. They met me where I was and they all encouraged me every step of the way. Jody was instrumental in helping me see what my son needed in order to be his best self, but she did it in a way that did not make me feel helpless. We are so grateful for Jody, Elizabeth, and Danielle and what they were able to do for Justin. They truly are amazing. Veronica helped me find trust in the BCBA we have now and also with having Justin try new foods. Everything that was offered to my son was beneficial for him and our family. We already miss our team from TMG. Jody was so knowledgeable and was able to guide me into making the best transition plan for my son. Elizabeth and Danielle always had positive advice and helpful activities for us to do with Justin to encourage him to meet his goals.
Being a special educator, I always knew how to help my students. Being a mom, my heart was not prepared. Jody was instrumental in helping me support my son. She helped me blend my SPED teacher brain and mom heart to become a great advocate for Justin. At first, I struggled greatly with observing behaviors typically demonstrated by students on the autism spectrum. Jody was patient. She helped me to see the truth on my own and guided me out of my denial to get Justin services that are not offered by TMG. She facilitated meetings with TMG’s BCBA, Veronica, as I was scared and in unknown territory. The whole team that surrounded and supported my son and I, were some of the most dedicated, honest, and caring team members I have ever worked with. I truly do not know where my son would be without them.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
“Taylor, Danielle & Elizabeth were all particularly helpful. We are bummed to be exited and wish we could continue in-person services with the team we have worked with. We were happy services were able to continue virtually but wish we could have had more in-person time with the team! Everyone always made sure our questions were answered and gave good input and ideas anytime we did have questions. We will miss our TMG family! The special virtual classes with hand delivered materials were fun and such a great idea!"
“Jody is so amazing, fantastic, phenomenal, outstanding, and kind. She is patient and encouraging and seriously the best part of my child’s month when we get to see her (even now virtually). I have to also add that Mark was the first person I asked about my son and his eating after a discouraging visit to a pediatricians office and it was his advice and referral to a pediatric dentist that changed our lives for the better. I mean, I was feeling defeated and at a loss for what to do, but I know something was wrong. He made me feel less crazy and worked with us through it all. Between Jody and Mark, I am just so thankful and always will be. Jody was coming to the house and then doing telehealth visits with my son once per month and she kept him so engaged. They were counting and doing shapes, just one, one more, working on all of his goals and it was seriously so amazing. Even when we had to switch to virtual from in-home visits, it was a smooth transition and we made it work as a team. I am so thankful for her encouragement and huge heart. I literally cannot thank you all enough for what you have done for both of my kids. ALL OF THE HAPPY TEARS!!! Thank you thank you thank you!"
“Every staff member we came in contact with was amazing and interacted wonderfully with my child.”
“Team was amazing to work with. In home services were great, comfortable environment for children to learn.”
“Simply amazing! Flex on scheduling was great. The info and extreme care and friendliness was very supportive.”
“Therapist are great, they noticed behaviors and team brought that to grandma's attention and added OT. She is grateful for that. My child is speaking in phrases now.”
